Job Description:

Compensation: $17-$20 an hour

We have a family of three in St. Louis (63109) that is looking for a reliable nanny for their newborn. Monday through Friday 5am-730am and then 5pm-9pm in the evening. Transportation to and from daycare is required. Both parents are dedicated surgical residents so punctuality, reliability and dependability is their main concerns. They are seeking someone who values honesty, respect, and trust to care for their little one. Someone who will treat their daughter as their own—nurturing her growth, encouraging her curiosity, and supporting her development. Open communication and mutual trust are essential, and we hope to welcome the nanny as an extension of our family, working together to provide the best for our daughter.

A day in the life

Wake up, change, and dress the little one for the day, prepare and feed breast milk/ as per schedule, change diapers and ensure proper hygiene, pack the daycare bag with bottles, extra clothes, diapers, wipes, and any needed comfort items. Ensure safe transport to and from daycare, clean up after feeding, and maintain general hygiene, provide cuddling, rocking, or tummy time to help with development and relaxation, engage in age-appropriate activities such as singing, gentle play, tummy time, and reading. Help with bedtime routine, including a warm bath, soft music, or swaddling, update parents on feeding, naps, mood, and any observations from the day, perform child-care related tasks such as washing and drying bottles, completing baby laundry, picking up toys, etc.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday 5am-730am and then 5pm-9pm in the evening

- You’re available at least two days per week to work 6 - 9 hour shifts between 7am - 7pm
- You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to assignments
- You bring at least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience
- You can provide our team with 3 references, 2 related to working with children, paid or unpaid, as well as 1 character reference
- You’re at least 18 years of age or older

- You’ll care for children in their homes
- Your only household duties will be common sense clean-up of your activities and meals with the child, no other household duties
